Welcome to my blog! I am a transplanted desert dweller living in Phoenix via Seattle and Honolulu. In my previous life, I earned a BA in English from Seattle Pacific University, an MA in Literary Studies from the University of Hawaii, and a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certificiate from Southwest College of Healing Arts. 10-time half marathon finisher, part-time yogi and full-time documenter of my family.
Having done it all in the corporate world (from receptionist to paralegal to copywriter to writing tutor to adjunct instructor), I currently co-own a naturopathic medical clinic with my husband, and ND, and teach yoga part-time. I have a busy life running around after three kids, two with autism and one with an extra special form of high energy. I love to practice yoga, hike, run, read, write, travel and live well with friends and my big extended family.
I write this blog to share stories of my life, write about my experiences, maybe discover some camaraderie and find an outlet for self-expression and reflection. I am trying to jumpstart my fledgling career as an author….finishing up my first book, a memoir, now in the daunting editing stage.
I welcome all feedback, comments and tips - and if you are a writer drafting or completing a book , I would love to hear from you.
Writing is the key to my creativity and I thank you for for indulging me as I flex some creative writing, grammar and syntax muscles. And hopefully have a semi-interesting story to tell along the way.
